Questions people ask
Does SmartContact work with Zapier?
Yes. SmartContact CRM has a Zapier app with instant triggers for companies, contacts, deals and tasks, and actions to create records, add notes and find companies and contacts. It is in beta and works on every plan, including the free Basic plan.
How do I get the SmartContact Zapier app?
While it is in beta, open the invite link on smartcontact.online/zapier and accept it in your Zapier account. SmartContact CRM then appears in Zapier like any other app. If you get stuck, email operations@smartcontact.online.
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
No. Zapier's free plan runs two-step Zaps, which covers most SmartContact automations. Multi-step Zaps need a paid Zapier plan.
Is it safe to connect Zapier to my CRM?
Zapier connects with an Integration API key that you create in Settings › API keys & agents. The key acts with the role you give it, never has Owner or Admin rights, and you can revoke it at any time. Webhooks send record ids only; Zapier then reads the record with your key.
